Belarusian NPP

Belarusian NPP is the country’s first nuclear power plant and one of the largest projects. The plant is being constructed 18 km from the city of Ostrovets in the Grodno Region, based on a standard generation 3+ design with two VVER-1200 power units with a total capacity of 2,400 MW. The project is implemented on a turnkey basis in accordance with a intergovernmental agreement of 2011, with the Engineering Division of the Rosatom State Corporation (ASE) acting as the general contractor. The applied technologies ensure an enhanced level of safety and fully comply with post-Fukushima requirements, international standards, and IAEA recommendations.
