Parking in Astana, Kazakhstan

Multi-level parking facility, Block C1, within a residential complex in Astana, designed using prestressed reinforced concrete beams and a ramp.

Load-bearing system
Floor slabs and transitions (C5 Ramp) are constructed on reinforced concrete beams with high-strength prestressed reinforcement tendons. The beams are grouped by sections at elevations +3.200 and +7.500 along X1–X42 axes, ensuring phased installation and tensioning of the reinforcement.

Prestressing
The beams use reinforcement tendons consisting of 7- and 13-strands with anchorage devices. Seven-wire K7 strands in accordance with GOST R 53772-2010 with a diameter of 15.7 mm, a cross-sectional area of 150 mm², and strength up to 1,860 MPa are used, specifically intended for prestressed reinforced concrete structures.

Anchorage zones
Along X-A axis, “dead-end” anchors are installed, fully grouted prior to tensioning, which improves the durability of the fixation joints for the reinforcement tendons. Along X-F axis, “live-end” anchors are used, from which tensioning is performed; installation recesses are provided, which are to be grouted upon completion of the work.
