Sheremetyevo Airport Taxiway Bridge
Moscow Sheremetyevo airport is the largest Russian aiport, located next to city of Moscow. The airport has decided to increase its capacity and opened third runway. The connecting taxiways has required construction of a bridge over the perimeter road and small river. STS supplied its bonded 19 strand anchor system type AKS-19.
In order to shorten the project’s construction time and help the general contractor organise an accelerated pace of work, STS designed and manufactured a short 19-strand hydraulic jack in a very short time. The STS DN-19-100 jack enabled tensioning in the 1 meter interspace.
