Novovoronezh NPP-2
Novovoronezh NPP-2 is one the first Generation 3+ nuclear power plant to be built in Russia.
STS is the chief designer of the Containment Prestressing System (CPS) of reactor building.
Our company carried out the design of the CPS, manufacturing of the system and installation work. This is the first turnkey project of its kind.
Special equipment has been designed and manufactured to perform the installation of the SPZO, allowing for the installation of more than 50 tons of strands per day.
The work on filling the duct with mortar was performed in special grouting units complete with pumping stations. These units allow pumping more than 15 m3 of mortar per day. The total volume of mortar for this project is about 1200 m3.
Eight DN-55 hydraulic jacks were used for tensioning of CPS at Novovoronezh NPP-2. These hydraulic jacks were specially designed and manufactured by our company for the installation of the system at the NPP. Such number of hydraulic jacks allows all the tendons to be tensioned in 30 days.
